Let’s get brewing!

Ingredients for Ginger Latte

You will only need 5 simple ingredients for this ginger latte:

  • 2 cups of unsweetened almond milk (you can also use coconut milk or oat milk)
  • 1 cup of finely chopped fresh ginger root
  • 1/4 cup of unrefined brown sugar (you can also use agave syrup or maple syrup)
  • 1 1/2 cups of water
  • 1 cinnamon stick (you can also use 1 Tbsp of ground cinnamon)

Ginger Latte Recipe

Step 1: make the ginger syrup

In a small saucepan, add the fresh ginger, sugar and water and bring to a boil, stirring until the sugar is fully dissolved.

Reduce heat to low and simmer for 35 – 40 minutes. Then strain the ginger through a strainer and pour it into a jar.

Step 2: make the ginger latte

In the saucepan, heat almond milk with 2 tablespoons of the fresh ginger syrup and the cinnamon stick over medium heat. Stir continuously with a whisk for 5 to 10 minutes until the mixture is hot and frothy.

Step 3

For an extra bit of flavor and spice, you can seep a ginger tea bag or sprinkle with a little ground ginger powder for even more ginger flavor.

Step 4

Transfer the ginger latte to your preferred mug and savor the comforting warmth and frothiness. For an extra touch of indulgence, consider adding some vegan whipped cream on top.
